A secondary school teacher was killed on Wednesday morning when unknown gunmen stormed a residential compound in Hagadera refugee camp, Dadaab sub-county.
Three G4S security guards were also seriously injured in the attack. Dadaab deputy County Commissioner Albert Kimathi said the assailants were armed with AK47 riffles adding that the incident occurred at 3am.
The injured were rushed to the nearby International Rescue Center (IRC) and later transferred to Dadaab sub county hospital where there are still admitted.
Kimathi said police are searching for the suspects who disappeared into the massive refugee camp following the incident. He added that the motive of the attack is not known
